The majority of
eagle statues capture these monarchs of the sky in flight – wings outstretched, eyes scanning intensely.
And yet you are sure to find a statue showing an eagle in as many different moods as you experience yourself – contemplative, angry, proud etc.
Patriotic eagle statues are very popular. The national symbol of the United States of America is portrayed resting, flying, and perching over the Stars and Stripes. There is something truly inspiring by this far-sighted bird and his noble form (to think – Ben Franklin wanted us to use the turkey as our national bird).
In addition to statues there are
etched eagle mirrors,
eagle wall clocks, pocket watches, tree ornaments and wind chimes to choose from that all display our national symbol in proud and patriotic ways.
Eagle sculptures are created in a variety of materials including wood, metal, alabastrite, poly-resin, glass and bronze.
Some statues serve dual functions – as an
end table, a curio shelf, beautiful
eagle lamps, book ends or a tabletop fountain.
There are many ways you can incorporate statues of eagles into your décor both at home and for the office. Place a
soaring eagle on the top of a bookcase, or use an eagle topped lamp on the vanity of a rustic themed bathroom.
The key is to place your eagle in a place of pride – the drama and intensity of an eagle in flight needs space around it to create the proper feel.
Over the years we humans have invested the eagle with a sense of nobility. We admire these monarchs of the sky for their fierce nature, their extreme beauty and their independent nature.
Eagle statues that capture and magnify these features lend some of that intensity to our home décor whether the statue be patriotic renderings of a bald eagle and the American flag, or a wild eagle captured in mid-flight above a rocky terrain.
Whatever type of statue you choose, be certain to place your eagle in an area where it can ‘soar free’.
